Founder

Jennifer Rando is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Board Certified Music Therapist, professional overthinker translator, and the founder of Whole Self Wellness Center.

She works with teens and adults who appear to be holding it together on the outside but internally feel anxious, overwhelmed, burnt out, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in survival mode. Many of her clients are the “strong one,” the caretaker, the perfectionist, or the person everyone else leans on while quietly struggling behind the scenes.

Jennifer’s background includes working at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia with patients and families navigating eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, medical stress, grief, and major life transitions. Over time, she realized she wanted to create a practice that went beyond traditional talk therapy alone. She envisioned a space that incorporated creative arts therapies, integrative health approaches, somatic work, and foundational wellbeing through sleep, nutrition, movement, nervous system regulation, and self care. Her goal was to create a practice that felt more human, honest, and approachable, a place where people could show up exactly as they are without feeling judged or like they have to “perform wellness.”

Her approach blends evidence based therapy with holistic and creative modalities including CBT, mindfulness, somatic work, music therapy, and practical coping skills that actually fit into real life. Therapy with Jennifer often includes deep conversations, nervous system education, occasional dark humor, and helping clients understand why their brain reacts like there’s a bear in the room when they’re just trying to answer an email.

She is not the kind of therapist who silently nods while someone spirals for 50 minutes. Jennifer is engaged, direct, compassionate, and genuinely invested in helping people better understand themselves in a way that creates meaningful and lasting change.

She also firmly believes that healing is hard to do when you’re running on caffeine, poor sleep, no boundaries, and pure survival mode. So yes, those things will probably come up too.
